Atletico Madrid will be facing a serious challenge, as they have lost 2 of their 6 matches in the group stages, but still managed to finish 2nd in the section behind Juventus to advance to the last-16 stage of the competition. It will be the first time that these teams have faced each other in the Champions League since the 2008-09 competition, when both matches finished 1-1. Atletico Madrid might be the underdogs, but they have won 4 of their last 6 ties in the round of 16 and have lost just once in 12 visits from English clubs, winning 7 times in the process during an impressive run of form.

On the other side, Dortmund and PSG will have just their third meeting in history, with their 2 previous match-ups bringing draws during the group stage of the 2010-11 Champions League. Dortmund have only won 4 of their last 11 Champions League matches, though, and have recorded just 5 victories in their last 13 European fixtures on home soil. It is going to be tough to overcome the French champions over 2 legs, but Lucien Favre’s side will enter this match off the back of an impressive 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the league on Friday night.
